Process

The design process is tailored to the requirements of each project but in general it will follow four key stages:

  • Concept design
  • Detailing and quotation
  • Procurement of goods
  • Installation

Stage
One

Concept Design

A consultation will be held, on site if possible, to establish a brief and budget. A design fee will then be quoted for stage one, which will include a site survey where measurements and photographs will be taken. Then a period of design development exploring different ideas to give a construct to the overall design, the mood, ambience and key features that the detailed design will be built upon. At this point, when the scope of work is known, a design fee can be quoted for stage two of the design process.

Stage
Two

Detailing and quotation

Ideas from stage one will be developed further and investigated to ensure feasibilty and costs. Consultations will take place with trades such as builders, architects, electricians, plumbers etc. This stage will conclude with a presentation of design boards showing samples of materials, images of products, drawings and visuals where necessary, a full written specification and quotation.

Stage
Three

Procurement of goods

Teall Design can supply and deliver some or all of the products specified on behalf of our client. This will depend upon the specification, it may be that our client may wish to purchase some or all of the items, or the trades involved may do so.

Stage
Four

Installation

Teall Design can schedule and organise installation by our recommended fitters, or we can work with our clients preferred contractors.
